Registered Nurse ( School Health)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse specializing in School Health to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments for students, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health history documentation.
• Administer medications following strict safety protocols.
• Manage acute and chronic health conditions such as asthma, allergies, diabetes, and developmental disabilities within the school setting.
• Provide first aid and emergency response care for injuries or sudden illnesses, utilizing critical care procedures when necessary.
• Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health records (EHR) systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Educate students and staff on health topics including immunizations, disease prevention, nutrition, and mental health awareness.

Details of Education and Skills:

Graduate of an accredited RN program/school

Active and clear Florida RN license

2 Year clinical experience minimum with knowledge of the clinical needs of students enrolled in Miami-Dade County Public School (MDCPS).

Strong oral and written communication skills

The ability to work and communicate with diverse groups and individuals, independently or as part of a group.

School Health experience preferred.

Must be computer literate with working knowledge in Electronic Health Records.

Special Requirement:

Current BLS and First Aid Certification

Bilingual (English / Creole & English / Spanish)

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
