The Sr. Diversity Equity and Inclusion Specialist develops, designs and delivers curricula in collaboration with the Organizational Effectiveness and Staff Development, Office of Diversity & Inclusion, Affinity Group Development & Community Engagement, WorkLife, and other diversity units throughout the campus. Specific Essential Duties Build, implement, and execute enterprise-wide, scalable, DEI curriculum, staff development, training and learning opportunities, toolkits, and materials that advance DEIB commitment and strategy. Session content will focus on critical diversity, equity inclusion, belonging and social justice topics such as inclusive leadership, communicating across differences, unconscious bias, microaggressions, allyship, sponsorship, critical race theory, ableism, restorative justice, and the history of systemic and institutional racism, its effects and how do we begin to dismantle to recreate an equitable community. Embed adult learning pedagogies that includes interactive engagement and concludes with practical action steps that can be implemented following any training or workshop. Consult with department leadership and other key stakeholders to conduct needs analysis at the individual and team levels to uncover the learning and developmental needs, ensuring that the educational product delivered fits the needs of the group and department. Serve as subject matter advisor to identify and integrate DEI learning and development into business priorities, principles, and operations. Implement accountability measures and metrics to track, evaluate, and report on the progress of DEI and L&D objectives across functions and countries. Works with individual contributors and people leaders to recommend learning events, learning paths, and talent development interventions based on needs. Create and maintain content that is delivered through a variety of modes and platforms that engage all types of learners and are consistent with adult learning principles; continually review, audit, and update content and materials to integrate best practices that reflect the evolving nature of DEI education. Curriculum will be across multiple platforms, i.e., in-person, e-learning, virtual, hybrid etc. to maximize participation throughout the university workforce. Develop and maintain expert knowledge by researching DEI training best practices and emerging trends. Essential Duties Drawing upon direct experience with training strategy, planning and execution: 1. Conduct the training needs analysis. 2. Create Training Plan – identify the training material inventory and delivery methods. 3. Create training outlines and modules. 4. Produce training materials using Word, PowerPoint, Captivate and other appropriate training technologies and tools. 5. Relate to previous and new method of accomplishing tasks by quickly understanding system vocabulary, business process and content. 6. Using requirements, test cases, and proof of concept information, partner with SME to identify content for training materials. 7. Identify and use the appropriate delivery style for the audiences with varying degrees of knowledge and capabilities. 8. Ensure the learning environment supports the learning needs. 9. Create scenarios for exercise based training. 10. Prepare tests for module review or to assess learner’s knowledge. 11. Prepare the learning environment. 12. Pilot training to project team for feedback and modification of training material and delivery. 13. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and learning outcomes by creating, delivering and analyzing surveys. 14. Coordinate and deliver support in a variety of venues including, clinics, one-on-on coaching and phone support. 15. Transition project based training to methods to on-going training for new employees. 16. Perform other related duties as required. Required Education And Experience Bachelor's Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organization Development, or related field and a minimum of four years of related experience.
